Isolde attends Formula One test 26th September 2006 Just a few days after her appearance as Toyota Yaris Cup driver tutor, Isolde attended the Silverstone test with the Panasonic Toyota Racing Team. When Isolde arrived in the UK, she was welcomed by brilliant sunshine and temperatures of more than 20 degrees Celsius. Perfect conditions for a trip to the Panasonic Toyota Racing Team test at the historic “Silverstone Circuit”. But before doing so, the former World Rally Champion had to deliver a top-level sports performance herself. On the day prior to the F1 test, Isolde proved her versatility in crossbow-shooting, axe-throwing and skeet-shooting in a Toyota event. Then, on Thursday, the Toyota Brand Ambassador travelled to the “Silverstone Circuit” where she was welcomed by Ralf Schumacher, Olivier Panis and singer Chris Rea. And while the Formula One drivers completed lap after lap of the 5.141-kilometre track, Isolde and Chris used the opportunity to take a close look at the paddock, and the garages of the Toyota team. “You really can’t get any closer to Formula One,” said Isolde at the end of the event. And she was right: apart from a guided pit-walk, the visitors were also offered the chance of taking a trip in a track shuttle to the most spectacular turns and the quickest straights of the British GP venue. This way, a first-hand Formula One adventure was guaranteed for all the visitors, during their test-day visit. |
