Isolde is looking forward to the Rallye Oberland

9th March 2007

Next week, the 2007 ADAC Rally Masters 2007 season kicks off with the Rallye Oberland in the Bavarian town of Peiting. Isolde Holderied, member of the organising motor sports club Bayerischer Rigi, will attend the event to support the drivers.

With 70 teams from seven nations, the starting grid of the Rallye Oberland is as big as ever. The ‘internationality’ of the participants is clear proof of how popular this rally is with drivers.

The teams are required to be on location on Friday in order to conduct the necessary preparations for the participation in the rally. This includes submitting the necessary documents and the technical inspection of the vehicles. The excitement begins on Saturday at 7.30 am, when the first trial is scheduled in Peiting. Nine and a half hours later the most successful drivers can look forward to a Champagne shower at the award ceremony.

Isolde is available to support and consult the drivers as a competent connection between the teams and the organisers. While this is not a new task for the former Rally World Champion she is looking forward to the event nonetheless. "It is always great to contribute to a rally, particularly when it is hosted by your own club," says Isolde. "There aren't too many rallies in the south anyway. Therefore, it is obviously great to have the southern most rally in Germany on your doorstep."
