Isolde looks forward to an exciting 2008 motor-racing season 16th January 2008 Following a longer break, Isolde Holderied is now going to again inform you in regular intervals on her off and on-track activities, on her website. Her schedule for the coming months features – inter alia – the FULDA Challenge in Canada and numerous appearances as Toyota Brand Ambassador. In just a few days, Isolde is going to again hit the road for the Yukon Territory and its perpetual ice. From 21st January, it will be the venue of the eighth FULDA Challenge – the spectacular multi-discipline competition held on ice and snow. Just as it was the case in the previous years, the event again will be contested by six teams from all parts of the world, with extraordinary driving skills being just one of the necessary abilities. At the same time, the competitors also will have to demonstrate stamina, courage and team spirit on their way to contesting this test held at temperatures of about -50° C. As usual, the field features several celebrities: Giovane Elber, the former striker of German football club Bayern München, former speed skater Monique Garbrecht-Enfeldt and former decathlete Frank Busemann are three of the five celebrities who are going to battle it out with one another in Canada. Isolde will accompany the competitors as instructor and will provide them with tips and tricks, during the exhausting event. Over the course of the year, the former World Rally Champion is going to again appear as Toyota Brand Ambassador within the scope of the ‘Experience Toyota’ tour. From May 2008, Isolde will support the participants in the off-road events held all over Germany by putting across the necessary technical knowledge to them, in the practice sessions. Further highlights will be several classic car rallies. There, Isolde herself is going to demonstrate her driving skills. Among the rallies she is planning to contest are events such as the ‘Sechsämter-Classic-Rallye’ in July and the ‘ADAC-Trentino-Classic-Rallye’ in September. “I’m looking forward to the new year,” says Isolde. “Again I will have to cope with numerous exciting challenges. Hence, I definitely won’t be bored, this year.” |
